Mulberry House is a luxury country wedding venue in Essex. The venue offers boutique accommodation within the 22 acres of beautiful grounds. Guests can also enjoy a traditional afternoon tea in their award winning restaurant.
We were asked to create a range of high quality signs and more for the venue. Shortly before approaching us, Mulberry House had recently undergone a complete re-brand. The venue wanted signs which combined the beauty of oak along with the colour palette as set by their new brand guidelines.
We decided to combine printed aluminium dibond signs into some oak framework. Three large oak signs with printed artwork were commissioned for the entrance to the venue. Some smaller signs were also made for each room at the wedding venue. Finally, a collection of engraved oak key-rings were also made for the accommodation to match the signs. All of which was made here in our workshop in Devon.

Making the Oak Framework for the Entrance Signs
All Joinery for the Oak Entrance Signs were made in our workshop. Traditional joinery methods were used to make the oak surround. The Aluminium sign was glued within a groove which was set into the centre of the oak framework.
Printed Aluminium Dibond Signs with Oak Backing
For the door signs, we machines a single piece of solid oak with a 3mm pocket to allow the printed sign to sit flush within the hardwood sign. The oak was then finished with OSMO oil before the printed signs were glued into place.
Oak Keyrings
The solid oak keyrings were cut out an engraved on both sign to the customer specification. Each keyring complimented the door signs beautifully.
